Are
your home energy
bills higher than your neighbors?
Are your home energy
bills higher than anyone else’s in Montrose and Delta Counties?
DMEA is looking for 10 members with
higher-than-average home energy bills who desperately need to make their
homes more energy efficient!
The DMEA member with the greatest potential to
demonstrate home energy savings will win up to $25,000 in energy-related
home improvements. The two runners-up will receive up to $10,000 in
energy-related home improvements. Seven additional members will receive a
free comprehensive energy analysis of their home with specific
recommendations on how best to cut their home energy bills. The finalists
will be selected by DMEA in consultation with the Colorado Energy Science
Center and the contest co-sponsors based on an analysis of the homeowner’s
total energy bills (meaning electricity, gas and propane) over the last 12
months, and other criteria. See the contest rules for details.
To enter:
-
The best way to apply is to go online to
www.homeenergymakeover.com. Completing your application online is
easier, saves you a postage stamp, and will provide you with the very
latest details about this exciting contest.
-
When you complete and submit your entry
form you are giving the Colorado Energy Science Center permission to
review your past 12 months of DMEA electricity bills. You must own and
reside in a home that receives electric service from DMEA to enter.
-
If your home uses gas or propane, you must
provide information on your last 12 months of gas or propane usage
along with your application. You can use your past gas or propane
bills or you can contact your gas or propane dealer for this
information. Do not send copies of your bills. In order to be
eligible, use this form to provide the required information. This
information is necessary to evaluate your home's total energy usage.
-
All entries must be submitted online or
postmarked by August 31, 2005. Odds of winning depend upon the number
of applications but will not exceed 10 in 30,000. More information and
contest entry rules are available in DMEA’s lobby and online at www.homeenergymakeover.com.
